Wow, I am really bad at keeping you all updated! Sorry! Here goes: I have three healthy, beautiful, children now! (Thank You, Jesus!) Leah is 3, Connor will be 2 in April, and Zachary is almost 5 months old. Yes, we had them close together, and we are loving it!!! I thank God each day that I can be ’daddy’ to these precious little people.

I only have half of the new cd recorded, it has been a frustrating adventure, to say the least, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The lessons God has taught through this long time period have been priceless, and I am finally realizing that His timing is WAY better than mine ever could be! So while, yes, I’d love to say it’s finished and will be released in a month...I cannot. But I am okay with that now. When it is ready it will be advertised here! And I will know that God is in the middle of every chord, every lyric, and everything about this new cd.

Be encouraged! God IS on our side, even when it sometimes seems He is nowhere to be found. That is usually when He is His closest! My wife and I have a few other things we believe God is doing in this newest season in our lives. We are trying to blindly and fully trust Him with EVERYTHING. He is calling all of us to a new place. But we must rid ourselves of old habits, our sinful nature, foolishness, laziness, bitterness, and all the other crazy things we hold onto. We must in order to go to where He is calling us to. Easier said than done, but let’s keep praying and encouraging one another to move forward, so we don’t get stagnant.

We keep hearing the Holy Spirit say, "get prepared!" And that is want we want to do and be.

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Peter 1:5-8

Thanks for your prayers and encouraging emails. We love and appreciate them all!

Bless you, Darrell

Again, sorry for my long silence! We are doing great. Thanks to all of you who have emailed your love. I will be in the studio this summer working on a new cd! As soon as I know a release date it will be on the website.

We are keeping busy with new ideas and plans. Thanks to those of you who have emailed so many encouragements and your prayers. It’s nice to have support from all of you! Please continue to cover us in prayer as we move forward in God’s will. Also, please understand that we receive numerous emails each day, and I would love to answer each one, but do not always have the time. I do read all of them…so please continue…just know that I can’t always respond personally.

We recently found out we will be having our third child (due in October)! We are blessed to have our children and honored that God trusts us with more. Leah is just over 2 and Connor is 11 months.

I think that is all for now. Bless You!
Darrell

Hope everyone is having a great summer, and staying cool! We have been on the road most of this summer and God has been faithful! We have had MANY awesome ministry conferences, worship nights, and teaching
sessions. We hope that in some small way God is using us for His Kingdom and His Glory!
Please keep Charity and me in your prayers. We will be traveling to South Africa in September to be apart of a conference and see what God has in store for our overseas ministry. We know this trip has been ordained
by the Lord for this time in our lives, and we are anticipating what will happen while we are gone! Our family is doing very well, each child growing healthy and stronger each day. God has blessed us, and those of you, with children! They are a true gift!

Thanks for your encouraging emails, it helps. And thanks for keeping in touch.
Blessings!!

Thanks to all of you who keep the Evans family in your prayers. We are getting used to having a new baby and not getting much sleep, but I have enjoyed every minute with our new little man. Everyone is well and Leah loves her new brother!

Check out the tour page and see if we'll be in your area. We are booking up for the summer quickly and I am excited to see what God has in store for each city and venue. We are praying now for the different dates and expecting God to use our ministry to do His work!

Thanks again for your support and prayers! We are praying blessings on all of you! Talk to you soon .

God is good! Our second child is due in April and we couldn't be more excited! As we wait for this new life to arrive, I am challenged to renew my life and commitment to the Lord. I want my son to grow up in a Godly, peaceful, and loving home. This is only possible by laying down my own life and taking up the cross daily. With God's guidance, some patience, and a whole lot of love I am sure that my son will have the Godly role model he needs. To all of you who are now feeling you have failed your children in some way and/or could have done better: it is NEVER too late to start bringing God back into the home!!! You are not a hypocrite, you are human. Start praying now that God will show you ways to encourage your children to read their Bibles, pray, and worship Him. And don't think you can lead without doing. YOU START NOW TOO! Be the leader of your home and bring it back to THE focus....Jesus Christ.

Email us your thoughts, prayers, and encouragements. I love hearing from you all.

God Bless – Darrell

We are getting prepared for our trip to the Philippines! We are very excited about what God is going to do in us and the people there. Please pray that the weeks go by fast, though, for us and our families. We all have wives and children that we will miss terribly! God is doing wonderful things in this season of my life. Our daughter, Leah, is growing and learning, and as she does I see a new side of our Abba Father (Daddy-God). The Lord has truly been teaching me and showing me His love through our precious daughter. I am truly blessed! I pray that each of you are blessed daily by God's presence and love too! Thanks for your prayers, and please don't stop!Darrell

Sorry for the delay in writing. Things are much busier with an infant. We are loving parenthood! Everyday Leah is changing and growing. God has truly blessed Charity and me with a wonderful daughter.

We have started many new ministries this year. God has been placing different cities, and age groups, on our hearts to reach out to. We have a young adults group that meets in our home every Wednesday night at 7pm. It is a time for us to fellowship together in an intimate atmosphere and love on God.

I am leading worship (when not traveling) at our home church, in Fort Worth, every Sunday. For more information about Christian Center, check under the ministries tab, and our links page.

We also travel to Shreveport every Friday for "Refuge." A new fellowship for anyone and everyone who is interested in getting closer to God and hanging out with real people. We are meeting at the old South Park Mall entrance #1, for the time being. We will soon outgrow that, and have to move somewhere else. Just in our first few weeks we have seen several people give their hearts to Jesus. (More information about Refuge can be found under our ministries link.)

God is moving and speaking in all that we do. Charity and I just want to serve and love those God puts in front of us. That is the greatest thing we can do!

We are praying for all of you who have emailed requests and believing for God's grace on your lives. Thanks for all the encouragement and wonderful stories. We love hearing from you all!

I have said a lot....and will write again soon.

Let us know how you are doing and what God is doing in your life!Blessings -- Darrell

Hey Friends,

God is so good! I just had to say that again! It's been a while since my last entry though I've been on the road ministering to so many wonderful churches and haven't had the time to update my journal. But this was a special blessing from God and had to be an entry.

On Friday of the week before last our road manager, Sterling, walked out of the hotel to the van and trailer. He was shocked to find that the lock on the trailer had been cut and all of our equipment, save a portion of the drum set and one base guitar, had been stolen. They even took Sterlings winter clothing. It's summer! And Southern California! They obviously didn't look at the equipment but took everything they could carry.

Needless to say, we were devistated. We had wrapped the majority of our funds into the tour and had no way of replacing the stolen instruments. Our next venue was that evening. The people were very good to us. They, along with all the churches over the last week, have been very gracious and God's spirit didn't stop moving.

I have been so busy that I had no time to work this situation out. So I told God I couldn't handle the problem of replacing the instruments. The loss was so large that I couldn't quite wrap my brain around it. I gave it to Him and trusted that He would create an outcome suitable for the whole band.

And He did!!! Praise the Lord!

We received a call from a gentleman that attended a church in Brea, California. We had recently ministered there and bonded spiritually with the congregation. He was concerned and told us that he would send the money to replace the instruments. I was, once again, shocked and amazed that we truly were walking through God's feilds of grace! He took a devistating situation and turned it on the Devil. He turned it so that we could praise Him. The Lord is wondeful. He is truly the King of kings and I love him so dearly!

I also want to thank the churches in Colorado and Salt Lake City as well as any church that has been a blessing to us during this time. We ask God to bless everyone for their part in supporting our ministry.

I love you all.

Hey Friends,
Welcome to our brand new website! I hope you will take the time to look around. We have added a few new features and are excited about the new look. Hope you are too! We will be updating the website more often so be sure and check back with us often.

Our new CD, Consuming Fire, was released on April 6. If you haven’t got a copy yet, please be sure and pick one up. Better yet, come to one of our scheduled ministry times and pick up a copy there! Check our Tour Schedule 2004 for a concert date near you.

The Consuming Fire tour has begun and we will continue through the month of October. This year, I felt in my heart the need to “downsize” our travel to allow us to go to places and churches that cannot afford the expense of a big venue. I believe this will allow us to go deeper into the body of Christ and touch people that we have never touched before. In one of my “secret place” moments, I gently heard the Father say, “If you won’t require a minimum, I won’t withhold the maximum.” So, for this tour, we aren’t traveling in the Big Bus with the Big Band. We are traveling in a rented van and pulling a small trailer, and loving the presence of the Lord and walking in His obedience. We thought about writing “Consuming Fire Tour” on the side of the van with a felt marker, but decided we would get in trouble with the van company :o) By the way, we still have a few dates available, so if you would like to see us in your church, drop us an email and we’ll see what we can do.

As you know, I got married on February 14 of this year, so I have been officially married for over three months. The wedding was beautiful and it was extremely difficult for me to hold it together (I didn’t hold it together, but at least I tried :o). The presence of the Lord was overwhelming at times, especially when we took communion together and when our parents prayed over us. I told you in my last newsletter that Charity is the most amazing woman I ever met. Let me update that statement with this. These have absolutely been the best three months of my whole life! I don’t mean to sound “mushy,” but I do want you to know that God can sincerely make beauty out of the ashes of your life, because that’s what He did for me by giving me Charity. Ok, that’s enough about that. I don’t want to give her the bighead :o)

Let me close by saying thanks to all of you, once again, for your kind words, emails, smiles and for purchasing the new CD, Consuming Fire. (I had to throw the commercial in, we have to eat this month). Seriously, you guys have been an encouragement to me more than words can express. My prayer is God will continue to overwhelm you with His love, mercy and grace!

Your BIC (Brother In Christ)
Darrell
